As a Canadian Jew I had a deeply disappointing and upsetting experience at Canadian Blood Services. During my visit, I was subjected to antisemitic behavior from a staff member and their superior, seemingly connected to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Discrimination of any kind—especially based on religion or ethnicity—has no place in a healthcare-related organization. I experienced antisemitism from staff and a supervisor at Canadian Blood Services, tied to the conflict in the Middle East. No one should face discrimination when trying to do something good. This was unacceptable and left me feeling unsafe and unwelcome.

As a first-time donor, I can't say enough about how comfortable and stress-free the staff made me feel. They answered all my questions and took the time to explain the entire process clearly. It was so easy to donate - I only wish I lived closer so I could do it more often. Although I don't live near a donation centre, this experience has inspired me to make it a priority whenever I have the opportunity. Knowing you're helping others truly makes you feel good.

I had an upsetting experience at this location. As a donor and visitor, I felt overlooked compared to how others were treated. The service seemed inconsistent depending on background. I submitted a complaint but did not feel it was taken seriously. I hope the organization improves accountability and ensures respectful treatment for everyone.
