mixed experience. screener and staff who assisted with injury report were very friendly, thorough, and welcoming. nurse who drew blood was somewhat distracted and also rude. was fat shaming the donor beside me as soon as they left, calling them fat and saying something along the lines of "it's obvious [they] don't watch what they eat" to the other nurse who had taken the donor's draw. i ended up getting minor nerve injury with pins and needles sensation. it was my first draw and was not briefed by the nurse on what sensation... read more
Amazing experience!! Super friendly staff, joyous and fulfilling time donating blood. Big shoutout to Jennifer, Yvonne, Amjelee, Darlene and Henna for being so accommodating!
First, I came with my friend who had to donate blood because the family doctor told him that he had to donate as soon as possible, and he does not speak English fluently and does not understand anything. I was a translator for him, but they did not allow me to translate, nor did they allow him to use the phone. In addition to the lack of respect and good reception, they called the family doctor to explain to him what was happening, and he wanted to speak with them, but they refused to speak.
