I went there for the first time to donate blood, my English is not very good but I take my wife with me to translate some words I don't understand, after I took the test questions, they rejected my blood donation request because my English is not good (funny) (I told them I understood all the questions and answered them 100%) and when they rejected my request they belittled me in an uncivilized way because I am a refugee here and I do not have a good language and they are racist, when they knew I am from another country the... read more
I love the thrill of giving blood. I like seeing liquid that should be inside my body exit my body. I like the altruistic, virtue signaling high I get upon exiting. Today I was a good person, and nothing will take me off my throne. Alas, I’m pretty cool I guess you could say, and I’m a big fan of ink - skin ink. Canadian blood services, I miss being inside you and I miss your free Oreos. But when I go to show you my cool new tribal tat, you turn me away :( it’s okay… I understand…. I guess

I've been donating at the Edmonton Plasma Clinic almost every Friday for the past couple of years, after many years of donating whole blood at mobile clinics (closing in on 200 donations!). What keeps me coming back is the incredible sense of community—from the friendly and welcoming nurses to the donors and reception staff. It truly feels like a second home. the staff was so nice and accommodating this time. i came a couple years ago and all of the staff were rude and annoyed but this time every single staff member went above and beyond for every single person. i had such a good experience donating and want to come back just because everyone took such good care of me!
