I have been donating blood for the last 25 years, once a year. I had planned to donate in November thisyear, but then I received a call from the Blood Service saying a clinic would be coming to my area, so that I could donate then,too. This was my 26th donation. It was a wonderful experience as always. I always share my blood donation pictureon my social media accounts to encourage my friends to donate blood. Went there to donate blood today around 1.30pm. Everything went smoothly but suddenly I felt dizzy and almost passed out, but there was an amazing nurse( I forgot to ask her name) and other staffs assisted me immediately and helped me to feel better. They were helpful, friendly, attentive… thank you so much!
Book appointment online. Park in Calgary tower parking for free parking. Level 6 west end. There will be reserved spots marked. Take elevator or stairs down to street level and turn left on 9th Ave. It's across the street from Palliser. Enter and register at desk, you will be directed to answer questionnaire on of the computers. Someone will call you up and take you into a room for hemoglobin and temperature check. The staff were all nice and friendly. And the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. We're glad to donating blood at this centre. They also offered 1.5 hrs complementary parking at the Calgary Tower parkade for blood donors.
