We got a floating dock with ramp installed in June 2019. The design is great but the dock is not suited for the rough, stormy, conditions of Georgian Bay. It probably wouldn't be much different at Lakes Simcoe or Couchiching. The Dock is well made with an aesthetic appearance. But all chains are rusting badly and I added some galvanized ones from Canadian Tire and Home Depot that do not rust.
Well designed and precision manufacturing makes this a great product. It does take considerable time to assemble especially first time, also due to use of large number of self tapping screws to hold the deck on.
I had bought my 16’ floating approximately 5 years ago from CanadaDocks. I did not have any experience in floating docks and the company staff, particularly Alex DeFrancesco, were always there to help me to set up my dock. Since then, as recently as this week, Alex was kind enough to help me to get a part for the same dock. I found the dock very solid, especially in the choppy water.
