My wife and I brought our 18 week old Cavalier King Charles to the Canada West Vets and they were excellent. We'd like to thank Dr. Dawson and the great staff.
I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hospital. Between excessive testing, rushed consultations, and unprofessional interactions, the overall standard of care felt far below what one would expect given the extremely high cost. In less than one week, our total charges exceeded $15,000, yet we did not feel that sufficient time was taken to clearly explain our pet’s condition, test results, medication risks, or treatment options. We were referred to Canada West during a very difficult time, and although the final diagnosis was cancer and we ultimately lost our beloved cat, the doctors and staff did everything they could to help him and to support us through an incredibly painful situation. Absolutely love these people. Best veterinary care ever anywhere. They have the training and equipment to do what is needed. They saved my wee dog last year after she was run over, which was amazing, she weighs 7 lbs…. This week she was back for knee surgery, which actually came in under her quote. Appie loves them, and so do I.
