I came across Can Tec while dealing with a seized brake caliper in North Van. They kindly accepted to fix my problem on the spot, even if it meant working after their business hours (on a Friday evening, I must specify!).They were very kind and accommodating, and the pricing was reasonable too. I was recommended by a friend to come here. The mechanic was very kind and solved the misfire issue i had, they even picked us up from our house to come and get the vehicle once it was ready, which really helped us out as we had no ride to come and pick it up. The mechanic explained thoughly the misfire problem we had and our vehicle is now running the best it ever has been, my fuel mileage has even improved! We had our Safari towed in on a Friday afternoon- The boys got it sorted quickly and actually lifted the hood to show some what had been done, and some extra things they had found and fixed up. Very happy with their service and their personal approach ( they could use a dedicated person to man the phones though...) Rod
I had been a returning customer at Can-Tec Automotive for a few years, and needed the slave clutch cylinder fixed of my Volvo S40. Since this part is built in the transmission housing, Nic recommended to replace the full clutch to which I agreed. I was charged $2,371 for the repair, including cost for machining the dual-mass flywheel. After 8,000Km my transmission broke again and I had it towed to Can-Tec since I suspected a warranty issue.
