Our son rented at Seahawk Retreat Apartments for one year. Choosing this apartment complex was a terrible mistake. First of all service is abysmal, very difficult to get attention from the management office and service when rendered is poor. The apartments are extremely unclean and poorly maintained. Right after check-in, my son and his apartment mates discovered a roach infestation which resulted in them electively evacuating and staying off premises for a week. Lived here for a year and for about 3 months of that we experienced electrical issues including almost daily power outages that they didn’t fix or communicate anything about repairs to us for the longest time, overall crappy apartments that they charge too much for, they will move u into a nasty apartment that looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months and then when u move out they will charge u for some random bs that they gave to u that way. DO NOT MOVE HERE. i cannot express the distress living in this apartment complex has caused me and since the day i moved in, i was counting down the days till i was able to leave. from the beginning we discovered that there were severe mold issues all throughout the apartment. we did our own mold testing and sent it to the lab and when it came back we were told there were 9 different types of mold within the apartment. 3 of them were poisonous. management did absolutely nothing and i was sick for months. i had severe reactio... read more
i’m set to move into this apartment complex in august, i’m a transfer student to UNCW so i just needed a place to live, seeing all these reviews regarding roaches is terrifying me 🤦♀️ should’ve done more research
Do NOT rent here!!!! I don’t write reviews but this calls for it. Regardless of out of date cabinets and appliances, I transferred to a 1 bed & paid $500 to get an apartment that was cleaned, repaired & ready for a new tenant. I immediately saw the apartment had a major German cockroach infestation. The apartment was treated by pest control but the infestation remained.
