Food was solid, I had the chicken parmesan and the Into the Woods old fashioned. Took quite a while to have our order taken, otherwise the food came out pretty quick.
I’ve eaten at Campo Enoteca a few times and always loved the food — the handmade pasta, the chicken parm, the sourdough. So I brought my girlfriend, who grew up on Italian food and is tough to impress. Unfortunately, the service this time really fell flat. Bad night this night. I have eaten here a few times and I really enjoyed the food. However, the service was virtually non existent. When I mentioned that we were really hungry and wanted bread for the table the server kind of walked away......then we walked out.
I’m writing this from home, currently stuffing my face with a slice of their sourdough bread. Highly recommend getting a loaf of bread to go. Throw it it the toaster, set it to 4, once that baby pops up, go ahead and butter it on up. Thank me later, you’re welcome. Food is always phenomenal! Kept it light for dessert, and only ordered 3. Vanilla ice cream - Prime. Chocolate German heaven cake - Prime Lemon Blueberry Cake - so prime I didn’t know it was vegan.
Ordered the Eggplant. Wasn’t expecting eggplant balls. It was bland, over fried. The pasta tasted like Mac and Cheese, nothing sun-dried tomato about this dish. The server did not come back to ask how it was so was stuck with the dish. The photo is of my leftovers, but that’s how it looked on the plate.
