OMG, we arrived at 7p after driving all day. When we arrived there were massive swarms of biting mosquitoes everywhere. The outside walls, the fence, our cars, other cars, everything was completely covered with thousands of mosquitoes. We got out the car and ran into the screened area but had only tshirt and shorts so we were protected and got bit badly. We had to return to the car and even though we rushed inside the car, over two hundred mosquitoes came in to the car with us! Spent the next thirty minutes killing them all ... read more
First time renter. Went during hurricane Milton. Sara was wonderful in making sure we were taken care of. Didn't get to take pontoon out, because of weather, but did highly enjoy the pool and the view was phenomenal. The cabana had everything we needed and was very cozy. Lanai was well protecting from the hurricane and a great area to watch the weather coming in. Will definitely stay here again if ever in the area again.
Camp St. Cabanas is a wonderful addition to Tavares short term rentals. The back area is just paradise with a beautiful pool and sand beach that backs up to Lake Dora. Boating, fishing, nature watching is the cabanas gems.
First time guest. We can’t wait to come back. The units are newly remodeled, new pool, great dock, and cooking areas. We had fun taking the kayaks (provided) down Dora Canal. Sitting on the sandy beach and building a fire at sunset. We also rented the pontoon boat for a half day, so beautiful.
What a fantastic place, can't wait to be at Camp St. Cabanas again!
