This place is truly magical. Nestled in the sierras with stunning views all around, my only regret is not discovering this place sooner. In addition to the breathtaking nature, the staff and management put tremendous effort into maintaining this lovely place. They care so clearly about the land and make sure all visitors feel welcome—very accommodating. My fiance and I were here for a particular event but we want to bring our kids here someday. Just went for my second time to an event held at this location. I can recall going here for a church camp 30+ years ago. Updated since then, and includes a lovely pool. Amazing views once one hikes up the hill just a bit. Stayed in house #3. Could have used a bit of fixing-up (ceiling fan in the family room would not reverse direction, and the swamp cooler was not functional). But these small issues are not uncommon to lodging at places like this. Over all it was a great experience.
Had a chance to Stay at Silver Spur a couple weeks ago. This place is BEAUTIFUL! We got to meet the whole crew. They were working hard to make things perfect for an upcoming wedding. Wendy and "G" were so wonderful to us. Wendy treated us like family! A+
