About this business

Owners Bill and Kim Volk opened the Camp Robber in 1994 in downtown Montrose, Colorado. The concept for this unique restaurant began many years earlier when the owner's love of the mountains moved them from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Colorado. My hubby and I decided to have dinner there last Friday night. He called ahead because we saw they had ribeyes on the blackboard...They put 2 back for us to ensure we could have their amazing ribeye for dinner. As soon as we got there, he told them his name and they immediately sat us and our server came right over and was aware that they'd put the steaks aside for us. Delicious steaks, baked potatoes were perfect and the Bailey's Creme Brulee perfectly silky.

We visit Montrose a couple times a year but this was the first time we had ever ate here. I don't know why we waited so long. The Grilled Salmon on Cilantro Linguine is absolutely fantastic! And the Green Chili Pistachio Crusted Pork Tenderloins were awesome! We had a Brownie Sundae Parfait for dessert with brownies made on site and it was delicious. We will definitely be back on our next trip!

Amazing, high quality food including many gluten free options! The chocolate crem brûlée is divine! Customer service is top notch. I only visit Montrose for a night or so every three months and have already gone twice on this trip!!!

When in Montrose to shop or do errand's, we always stop for their "Senior Menus" from 2 to 5:00! The service is great and the food good! Our #1 "go to" place in Montrose!
