Owners Bill and Kim Volk opened the Camp Robber in 1994 in downtown Montrose, Colorado. The concept for this unique restaurant began many years earlier when the owner's love of the mountains moved them from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Colorado. Food here is delicious, specials are inventive and interesting. Desserts are absolutely the bomb. Everytime we get one, it's our new favorite. ( try the chocolate creme brulee) Pastry Chef in incredible.

The food at the Camp Robber has been good for the last almost 25 years. Everything that comes from their kitchen is homemade. Yes you read the correctly everything is made from scratch homemade. I love everything I have eaten here but I always come back for the New Mexican food. I also love their specials seem like always something new and interesting. Great place and wonderful atmosphere. The blue corn chicken enchiladas were most tasty along with the fried artichoke hearts appetizer. Lisa our waitress was excellent.
