Owners Bill and Kim Volk opened the Camp Robber in 1994 in downtown Montrose, Colorado. The concept for this unique restaurant began many years earlier when the owner's love of the mountains moved them from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Colorado. Poor service! We waited almost an hour before we received our food. The food was of poor quality and was over priced. This is the 2nd time we have been at this restaurant and wanted to give it a another chance unfortunately it was much worse than the 1st time. Don't waste your time!
RecommendedVery nice place. Very clean and polite service! I was amazed at how good a simple club sandwich was! My wife had the portobello mushroom salad and it was amazing as well.

For many years in Montrose Camp Robber has been a perennial favorite! From the early days when they were downtown to the lovely new location on Townsend - they are consistently good. Had a nice lunch there a couple of weeks ago before the madness of the now, and again food was spot on, prices fair, and service nice. Keep up the great work!
