Wow! My friend and I just returned from a 2 night stay at Camp McCarthy. Denise is a great host, wanting to make sure our stay went well. The details that have gone into make this place comfortable, yet one with nature, has been well thought out. I would highly recommend a stay at this scenic and unique spot.

From the first inquiry to our checkout, Denise was an amazing host. I have to admit, being from California, I was a bit worried about the “tents” and bears (these aren't your typical California black bears). I am glad I chose Camp McCarthy versus a traditional cabin. In the end, I felt silly to be so fearful. The tent cabins were solid and the accommodations were perfect. Camp McCarthy was so beautiful! It was quiet and secluded with the most amazing views. Denise has an eye for detail and we couldn’t be happier with the location, accommodations and hospitality of our host! We look forward to going again!

We visited Camp McCarthy at the beginning of August. As a family of 5, we had the whole, glorious camp to ourselves. Starting each day with coffee while taking in the sounds of the river and views of the mountains was truly special. Denise truly has thought of every detail to make camp comfortable and fun. We enjoyed the nature trail, sitting around the campfire & playing corn hole. The pavilion was stocked with all necessities.The tents were outfitted with super comfy beds and linens.
