Pretty basic camp, no A/C. Good place for a event. nice natural area near a lake with great views. Not hard to get to.
I use to go with My GA group from Rolesville Baptist Church every year when I was 10 to 15 years old Then I was a GA leader during my teenage years 16 to 19 years old for 2 weeks every year in the Summer. I loved this place. CAMP LAPIHO stands for LA lakes area PI Pines area H for the Hills area and O for the Oaks area Ohhh so many memories
A great place for the start of the Umstead 100 ultra. But other than that, it’s a bit more rustic than my tastes. It takes me back to when I was a Boy Scouts…which isn’t necessarily an overly pleasant memory. I’ve done more than enough camping for my lifetime.
