Even if you don’t live in Illinois, I strongly recommend letting your children experience this amazing summer camp. I know many people who have even traveled from different countries to come to this camp, and there is no question for me as to why they would travel so far for it. I personally have learned so much while there about many different important topics: how stereotypes/offensive words affect people, how to not waste food, how to effectively argue your point, how to boost self confidence, how to care about everyone n... read more

My daughter had a great experience the first year and now this is her fifth year going and she loves it. The activities, the people and the positive vibes that Camp Kupugani has provided have helped her grow as a person both emotionally and intellectually. I have seen a big change in her self esteem which has sky rocketed.

Love the Mother/Daughter weekend. This will be the 4th year attending with my daughters now 9 and 10. It's a great opportunity to spend quality time with them. Kevin, the director, is a fantastic person and all the staff does a great job every year.

We had a horrible experience! Kevin the director admitted to not having proper supervision. Tried to keep our money even though The website wasn’t clear as to the terms. The camp itself might be nice but the director is definitely shady.

Kupugani is a truly special camp. It builds girls' confidence and self-esteem in a way that I've never seen anyplace else be able to do. Kupugani is a community of people committed to kindness, laughter, equality, fun and justice. Kupugani is inclusive and diverse, for real, not just in words. It lives these values and combines them with the joy of being in the outdoors, making new friends, and being a kid. The best camp experience you can hope for.

After 4 years of back to back summer experiences, we continue to be impressed with this camp! From the traditional camp experiences of sharing a cabin with 6 other girls each summer, to the unique aspects of intentional social justice and girl empowerment curriculum, our daughter looks forward to going every summer! In addition to the 2 week girls only camp, we've personally benefited from the Mother/Daughter weekend experience, too! The camp directors are great and are there to answer any questions you have!

I am a Wedding Planner that had the pleasure of working a client's wedding a Camp Kupugani this past weekend! Kevin & Aaron were AMAZING! So accommodating, flexible & responsive. The week before the wedding, the entire bottom portion of camp flooded and they were right in the thick of it helping us make last minute changes & doing intense clean up (dead fish from a flooded river y'all) to make the couples wedding perfect. (I don't think they even know about the fish!) It was the most beautiful day! Their hearts are sincere &... read more

Thank you for such an amazing Mother/Daughter weekend! What a wonderful feeling to step away from the everyday hustle, disconnect from electronics and just focus on bonding with my daughter! Endless amounts of fun activities, incredible staff and delicious food (they even were able to accommodate special diets such as gluten free, vegetarian, etc)! Highly recommend to anyone looking to create incredible lasting memories!
