Edited to add: after reading another review about the neutering policy we also received the same treatment regarding that. I’m more understanding of this because I know the importance but we also have a golden that the vet recommended waiting until a year to reduce disease risk later on. I think there just needs to be some improvement on how this place is communicating. Facilities are nice, but staff were unnecessarily rude at pick up. My dog has loved playing at Camp Bow Wow, but he's now 7 months old and I was told today he can't come back until he's neutered. My vet doesn't want to do that until he's at least a year old. He's a Golden Retriever with zero aggression. When discussing this with the General Manager she was less than empathetic to the point of " Oh well don't let the door hit you on the way out". Its a shame that your policy along with the rude treatment will keep my from ever returning. I'm in customer service and I value being treated well... read more

I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow Longmont for any Dog boarding and grooming needs. Our small Corgi mix (Jambi) stayed at the Camp for 5 nights boarding during the week of Thanksgiving, and we love how we could watch her on the webcams during playtime. We opted to give her the "snuggle time" and bath add-ons as well. By the time we picked her up from Camp, she was fresh and happy that she got to make new friends. If I could give zero stars, I would. We boarded our dogs here and added grooming to their stay. During her bath, one of our dogs tried to jump out of the tub. The staff member turned away, and our dog caught her toenail on the drain, causing it to tear and bleed. I received a call around 7 p.m. letting me know about the injury. The employee said it didn’t look bad and that they were “treating it,” but would check with her manager. After sending a photo, she called back and said they both agreed our dog was fine.
