I can’t say enough good things about Cameo Shooting and Education Complex! This place truly sets the standard for shooting facilities, not just in western Colorado, but honestly anywhere. The range itself is absolutely top-notch. Whether you’re into pistol, rifle, shotgun, long-range precision shooting, or archery, they have something for everyone. The carrot: Cameo is a well rounded shooting facility with ranges for almost every style of firearm usage. I particularly enjoy their long range pavilion with steel out to 2000 yards. The stick: Rules. They love rules here. I understand the need to uphold the 5 basic safety rules of firearm handling and usage. But they go way beyond those. The RSO’s in particular seem to think it’s their personal duty to ensure patrons of this complex are having a bad time. As a new gun owner and a first-time visitor to a shooting range, I had an amazing experience here. The staff made me feel very comfortable and took the time to teach me a few important things about safe handling and shooting. The facility is very clean, organized, and clearly focused on safety. Everyone was welcoming and professional. I will definitely be coming back and will happily recommend this shooting range to my friends and family. Awesome experience!
