Pleasant and Delightful. I was a little unaware of what all goes on when searching for a bridal gown. However, it all turned out quite well when I was treated with respect and acknowledgment by the ladies at Cameo Boutique. They asked questions to help me determine what type of dress I would need, what season, what size, what style? The help was very person centered, not "dollar sign" centered. Wonderful Shop I have bought so far four prom dresses, three winter formal dresses, two brides maids dresses, and plan on continuing to buy my semi-formal and formal dresses for my sorority here.(And I now live 3 hours away.) I would go no other place, cuz trust me I have. Do yourself a favor, stop here first! I'm starting to wonder if Monica has a disgruntled ex-employee or something because she was NOT rude to me. My experience at Cameo Bridal and Formalwear has always been rewarding and I can't imagine the owner ever being as rude as these reviews claim. I had 2 people refer me there for my wedding dress - which was beautiful and cost less than I budgeted for. It also wasn't the dress I had in mind when I went shopping. What is the truth? It's unfortunate in this internet world that anyone can post anything they want without any fear of retribution, or discovery. A review can be posted by a competitor, or a former disgruntled employee, or a genuine customer. There is no way of knowing. You don't even have to tell the truth. No one will know. But to libel and slander someone in an open forum is pretty tacky. All I can say is do yourself a favor and check out this little boutique. You will love the selection, service and prices. Wonderful Store with Outstanding Customer Service!!! During my stop off today at Cameo, I was pleasantly surprised. After visiting a few shopw in Jacksonville, one of which a highly overpriced store where I felt like I was in a museum and almost conned into spending 3 times to much...I stumbled upon Cameo. Great experience You have to visit this bridal shop...Monica is wonderful,,,My daughter and I wandered into Cameo on a day when we both were in our day off relaxed clothes and were treating with respect, given world class service, and even though we had no intention of purchasing a wedding dress THINKING they would be over priced and no selection,,,after describing what my daughter was looking for, Monica pulls off the rack a dress that not only was THE dress, but it fit my daughter like a glove,,, and here's the best part,,... read more
Love this store I have when here for the past two years for any event i had.. and when i needed longer to pay off a dress she let me. The owner just hired better staff that know what there doing and are so great. If you want to try on something they let you. But if your rude and snobby to them when u walk in, what do u expect back ? There not your maids, so if u have a question ask but look for a dress on your on and if u need help they will help you.
Don't shop here...ever! Do not patronize this store. I read the negative reviews and thought I would go no matter what to see the selection. The owner is rude and pretentious. The staff was uneducated and just didn't want me there for whatever reason. After I was in the store, the women began talking about me and laughing caddily behind my back. I asked to try a dress on and was given the 9th degree about the event for which I would wearing the gown.
Horrible, snobby, far overpriced, little selection, UNSATISFACTORY Upon entering this store, the owner literally scoweled at me and asked questions that were designed to either insult me or make me leave. "Monica" probed with questions such as, "Have you always been bigger?" and said phrases such as, "Military dependents have no business shopping any place other than Belk if they want something for a good price."
