After a not so smooth experience at a different vet, my daughter recommended taking my sick kitty to Camelback Animal clinic for 2nd opinion/follow up care. They got me in on a next day appointment, the staff explained things & answered my questions & came up with a plan. Pricing was better than my previous vet. The tech (I'm horrible at remembering names) and Dr. Cruz were friendly and patient.
**“I brought my dog in for a routine ear cleaning to prevent infections. The staff cleaned her ears and pulled hair, assuring me everything looked great. However, over the next two days, she was constantly shaking and scratching her head. When I took her back, they diagnosed her with ear infections—something they hadn’t mentioned before. I would stay away from this place, my dogs stitches got infected and they did not want to fix it when it was there fault for not doing it right and try and upsell you on stuff you don’t need, oh he needs X-rays 500 plus we think he needs blood work 300 plus we think he should try this medicine 160 and if that doesn’t work come back in 2 weeks and let’s try a different one for more money.
Dr Cruz has become outdated, rude and just in it to make the quick buck. I have to call the office I'm a five times to get them to send my dog's prescription Fry's pharmacy and I was told directly from Dr Cruz he got on the phone and said " this is not our job, when we write a prescription it's on paper and you take it where you want." Then he told me that he put a charge on my account for calling in a box of syringes for the insulin that was prescribed to my dog.
