Lovely hotel, clean rooms , well appointed, but beds were lumpy and seemed old. Front desk staff seemed new and clueless - not so helpful. Hotel is owned by two Dutch men. Who clearly pay attention to room details. My big complaint is that hotel is older historic building, with thin walls so be aware if you are a light sleeper. Also, overpriced for a "semi-luxury to be" hotel. Amenities said bike tours but that means they rent out rooms to outside bike tours. No bikes for use on premises. Was a beautiful place and wonderful service. All of the food was delicious and accommodations were very clean.
We recently stayed at the Inn with our son and daughter in law.. it was an amazing experience.. From the front desk to the gentleman that helped bring our luggage to the 3rd floor. Maid service to breakfast and our dinner at Natalie’s there are no words.. Thanks for the memories…
This was our first trip to Maine and really booked last minute accommodations. Of all the places we stayed this one surpassed our expectations. Staff went above and beyond every step of the way. We were early and room wasn’t ready but we needed laundry which they took while we went to lunch. We came back checked in, laundry was done and waiting in our room. Complimentary drinks stocked in fridge, turn down service, candy room and sitting room downstairs. Everything was amazing.
Quintessential hospitality. They lived up to the accolades by treating our family like royalty. The free candy wall, our names on the menus, luxurious beds, delicious food and drinks, great recommendations of the area, and one teenager was able to watch tv while lounging in the tub. Vacation made! Highly recommend the staff and accommodations.
