I took my husband to CAMC ER at Memorial this past Wednesday the 26th of March. He was having excruciating pain in his right hip, which had been fractured last November. After spending half a day getting an X-ray and a cat scan they sent him home with a Lidocaine patch!! As I write this he is laying in bed screaming from pain. We never once talked to a doctor regarding the tests - we were just scurried out the door with some discharge papers and told to follow up with our doctor. I would honestly rate the er at the hospital in the negative if possible. I came into the emergency room by ambulance (I have a heart condition) and was quickly transfered to a wheelchair and shoved in a nice dark corner to be completely ignore for 4 hours. I didn't even see a Dr! They really are the worst er I've ever been in.

I took my husband to camc general er after already visiting our family clinic and was told to take him to this er , he had a peice of metal in his eye all I can say it was a shit show there he was treated in the waiting room , not only that they was people sleeping in the chairs no where to sit people doing urine samples in the waiting area restroom , sending patients back out to wait half dressed in the waiting area was there for almost 4 hours just to tell us they can't remove the metal to come back and see eye Dr tomorrow... read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Visiting WV and had ER visit due to chest pains sent to er from urgent care. Within first 2 hours had blood work and X-rays and ekg then set in waiting room for 9 hours and still never was taken back to see a doctor. Wife was not allowed to stay with me and when she called to check on me was told I was not a patient. Never have a seen such a horrible health system in my life. Ended up leaving and drove to Ohio where was seen immediately and determined I had minor heart attack. Moral... read more

Went to ER 2/15/2021. Immediately had blood work and EKG and covid test. 100% excellent treatment from the time I entered until I left 2 days later. The phlebotomist could have been a little personable. I had blood work every two hours throughout my stay. The day and night nursing team were all right on top of everything meeting all my needs. I give the Drs and nursing team a well deserved 5 stars .
