As a military family navigating a stressful PCS move, we rely heavily on organizations like the YMCA to give our children consistency. I enrolled my daughter in art class but was left disappointed by the lack of unique materials, specialized tools, or exposure to different artistic mediums. For the price charged, I expected a more enriching experience with greater variety and opportunities to learn from. Unfortunately, most of the projects used were very basic everyday supplies that many families already have at home. Would not recommend.
My child has been participating in Y summer camps and school out care for a few years. My child has a positive experience in general and I feel it is a safe place for her. The staff have always been kind and care about my child, especially Alicia. She remembers my child, who I am, and always has a positive and professional demeanor.
