Very disappointed and honestly really shocked. Prior to my arrival I had been suffering from headaches and unexplained weight loss, feeling really tired and uncomfortable for a couple of weeks. I wish to express my deep appreciation to Dr. Parmele & her team for the treatment I received at the Calvert Emergency Room on January 7 2025. On that day in my attempt to clear the snow from my driveway I fell and injured my hand and hip. At the Emergency Room the nurses and the doctor treated my injuries in a very professional way. It turns out my ring finger had been dislocated and the good doctor put it back in its place. I think we are very lucky to have such competent professionals in our county. This emergency department at Calvert is absolute trash, I’d rather die than go here. You know what’s worse than being sick and injured at home thinking you might not survive? Sitting in an ER room for 7 hours while you hear the nurses laughing at and belittling you. After 7 hours, the only medical care received for my wife with dropping blood pressure and trouble breathing was taking her vitals, twice. The worst experience I have ever had a Hospital. I took my 9 month old in due to breathing issues. When we walked in there was no line and there were three women sitting at the front desk. They looked at us and at first didn't say anything then eventually after we continued to stand there waiting for help one lady stated that the girl next to get could help.
