The nurses in the Day Procedure Unit are brilliant, super-competent and friendly. They helped me get home, when an absent specialist and a narrow-minded doctor wanted to keep me in for the night.
Makes me sick even going there, had to wait for 8 hours even in emergency, its a joke
There was a time when a 2-hour wait in emergency felt long. Now, 6+ hours is the norm—and that’s insanity. Which my son and I had to endure while he nursed a fractured forearm. This is not a reflection of the incredible staff doing their best under impossible conditions, but of a broken, misguided and chronically underfunded system where healthcare has shifted from a basic human right to a privilege.
