Vanessa, the shelter just received a dog named Foxy (#A2153226), who is reported to have been rescued by you in 2020. She was found as a stray on 11/19, morbidly obese, with an ulcerated left eye, and in severe pain according to the shelter. They plan to euthanize her on 11/23 instead of providing treatment. My dog had a few daycare visits at this location and was scheduled for boarding, which never occurred once the owner became upset with the feedback I gave and canceled. The location is a home daycare/boarding. I chose them because it’s smaller. There were a few things I didn’t like about the place like them not separating dogs by size, she once gave my dog treats without my permission, their start time is later than most facilities. I have previously written a review of Cal's Alaskan Pet Resort, but each time I utilize their services, I am consistently impressed. I am compelled to express my admiration for Vanessa and her family's exceptional care for pets. Vanessa effortlessly accommodates last-minute changes and requests, and she handles my extremely anxious dog with ease. She even took in my pets as a hurricane approached while I was leaving town. I have been using Cal’s Alaskan Pet resort for a few years now and my dogs absolutely love it there. The staff are so friendly, they give plenty of updates, keep the dogs well exercised, and I love that you can have the dog washed prior to pick up so they come back squeaky clean. I would recommend this service to others as I already have for all your boarding, daycare, or home visit needs! Thanks for being great Cal’s!!!
