The ramp condition is horrible, and the park refuses to maintain the ramp. Even after numerous complaints and locals offering their time/equipment to fix it.
Great place to take a hike and take pictures
The water is getting lower but the ramp on the right side is still launchable. The fishing is great all year round. Great bait and convenience neat store called the Choke Canyon State Park Store at the top of the ramp, they have ice, firewood, live bait, worms, carp and some good stink bait. There's a few boat supplies and camping needs incase you forgot something. Really great owners! Stop by for some bait, ice cream or a good laugh! :)
