Dr. C told me Nov. 2022 to return for a liver/gallbladder scan in a yr to re-check polyps in my gallbladder. Called Nov. 2023 to be told they will not ultrasound the gallbladder-only liver. So I had to go to Paoli Hosp for the scan of both organs. At 2pm, day of Dr. C's appt, I arrive on time only to be told there is an hour wait. No, reason, no apologies, no suggestions where to grab a cup of coffee. Just a blank stare. Complete waste of time. Telehealth visit in Feb, scheduled endoscopy for mid Feb, cancelled because they send me prep instructions for colonoscopy! So it's my fault they didn't know which end they were going in, fine. Rescheduled for March. Couldn't get a follow up after the procedure until June/July. Staff yelled at me, yes yelled at me bc I didn't have paperwork filled out and didn't call the proper phone number to announce my presence in their parking lot the day of the procedure (even though I have at least a dozen text ... read more

I never actually made it to my visit. I did all the required prep for a colonoscopy, and 15 minutes after I finished I received a call from the office stating that they had no power all morning. Mind you they called me at 11:15. Do I actually believe this claim? No. They must have a back-up, I mean they are doing medical procedures, right? Dr Callahan has proven time and again to be a caring doctor who looks at the whole person when evaluating medical conditions. He is straight forward in his approach and is very consistent in his care, explanations of condition(s) and course of action(s).
I have had only the best experience with Dr. Callahan as my physician. He and my primary care physician work well together on my health issues. Dr. Callahan is very caring and compassionate. He is always available through the Patient Portal.
