Was visiting the Hamptons with a friend and we were surprised by all the places that are closed after the summer. I love how Calissa is open all year round. I was told they have a white chalet theme in the winter and seasonal dishes. Amazing service and quality of food. All the seafood (salmon, oysters, crudo) was very fresh and perfectly cooked. I’m happy to know that Calissa will be open for the holidays and will be back for the delicious food and to see the chalet decor!
The ambience at this place is great. I went on a weekday, and it was calm with lovely music and great service. I liked the decoration and how classic it is. The restaurant was not super busy, which made it great for a weekday, as I hate when it's loud and you are rushed. The service was great; he recommended a bottle of white wine (Biblia Chora Ovilos), and it was a great pairing. The waiter paired the food great and that contributed to our great experience. Can't wait to be back
Dishonest owner. Bartender added 20% gratuity when you order drinks from the bar, didn’t disclose it, and everyone ended up tipping twice. It wasn’t until someone asked for a copy of the bill that we realized. The paper bill also said “+tip” instead of “additional tip” which we didn’t catch. Sneaky. Reconsider doing business here.
I can’t believe they can serve a lobster pasta that is that bad…. And it $140. It is supposed to be a portion for 2 people but it’s like a mountain of overcooked (soft) pasta and over cooked (hard) lobster. Don’t order it
If you’re planning on coming here with a group…don’t. They have a required $110+ PP large party menu. You are not allowed to order separately. Between your group you HAVE to pick between three choices which were comically small. And they upcharge on most of the options. We ended up spending $200 PP just on the food and still left hungry because the portions were TINY. Service, environment, quality was eh. Save yourself the money and disappointment and go literally anywhere else
