I live 5 miles away and I could have gone to a nearer shop but my mechanic referred this shop coz I want to support local business. Called there and spoke to Marco. I greeted him politely and told him he was referred. I had 2 cars that needed smog. I asked him if he charges if it doesn't pass and he replied, "What do you think I do this for free? Of course there's charge!". I wnded up canceling. Very rude staff. Sorry but you'll lose customers this way.
This has been my go to smog location for the past decade, owner is kind and helped a dumb younger me when I had my first car.
