Improving This university's repuation has not been very good in recent years. As a baseball school, they are the top of the line, but academically they have left a lot to be desired. The program though is on the upswing with more money being poured in in recent years and smaller class sizes for graduate school. The campus is quite large and has a beautiful arboretum on site where many weddings and other events take place.
The ups and the downs I'm very familiar with the Fullerton campus. I was only a student there for a short while but continue to visit the campus because of contacts. The campus is currently expanding with a new Recreation center and parking structure, which should help with the large problem there is with parking. The campus itself is fairly small, with most classes within a short range of each other. This college is a commuter school but is pretty lively considering the fact. There are many successful programs that they exc... read more
Good extended education program My school didn't offer a Finance class that I needed to take during the summer so I took it here. The process was pretty easy register online and show up. The only thing that is annoying is parking, one they are doing a ton of construction so a lot of the roads are blocked off and it is just difficult to navigate, and two the parking passes are $96 for five weeks? I wasnt ready to pay that so I suggest if at all possible you have someone drop you off and pick you up much easier. The class is s... read more
Hitting it's peak After years and years of problems pertaining to class sizes, the college is finally beginning to rein in class sizes and get them back to a respectable size. The new library is extraordinary and a vast improvement over the old one in every which way(Ever been alone on the 5th floor late at night in the stacks?). The baseball program has always been top notch and the basketball program seems to be hitting a streak of it's own. The parking is still terrible, but when the 2nd parking structure is complete, it ... read more
Jazz dance class-Mrs. Macarena is the best! I love Mrs. Macarena as a dance instructor. I had no dance experience whatsover and the whole class knew. She kept repeatedly pulling me in front of the class to correct me. Yes it might be embarassing at first, but the fact that she took the time to help me out all the time paid off BIG time. In the end she said, " good job! 10 times better!" Then she said I should take more dance lessons. Now I am an aspiring choreographer with the hopes of owning my own dance studio one day. Many classes to choose from Cal State Fullerton offers a variety of courses to choose from for those that have already an undergraduate degree. They offer distance education as well as various graduate degrees. The campus is clean and easy to navigate through. A new parking structure was recently built to help overcrowded lots. The library is large and open every day.
