The food that I ordered was Stake salad which the meat was burned and tasted bitter. The service was not much different. I had better food here but this time wasn't a good experience

We have been customers of California Pizza Kitchen for many years and have visited many of their locations, but the costumer service at the Monterrey restaurant is bad. On one occasion, we went for lunch and I ask the waitress something about the lunch menu she basically told me to read the menu myself cus she was busy but she took her time and was very attentive to another table another occasion I took my mom there for lunch; the waitress took our order and brought our drinks and food, but less than five minutes she brought... read more

Wednesday at 5 PM we were told it would be a 20 minute wait. Twenty five minutes later we were told it would be another 20 minutes. No doubt they were busy, but with two hungry toddlers that was not appreciated. When we were seated it was another 20 minutes just to get water and some chips for the kids. Not the fault of the server, she was kind but also bussing tables on top of taking orders. Food was OK, nothing to brag about. Overall a poor experience.
