Very nice folks working there. The rooms were great. The people were even better. The food was fantastic. We will come here every year
Lovely setting. I'd definitely come here again. The staff is secondary to none.
This was our first time in California Pines, we recently bought property and did an overnight camping trip on our land. We spent the afternoon eating a delicious meal at the lodge restraunt 10/10 recommend, we also were very appreciative of Joe Hill road crew lead, he helped us locate our lot and made amazing recommendations for us to explore the area. We will definitely be back soon for another camping trip!
The Lodge restaurant is definitely a place to check out if you're in Alturas! It's a little ways out of town, but the scenery is beautiful and serene, and it's worth a few minutes on the road! The lodge is located near a lake with the beautiful California Pines forested mountains behind. The Lodge offers overnight guest room accommodations, seasonal group activities and retreats, and they also have an on-site restaurant. I would recommend this gem if youre looking for a restaurant with a relaxing view! I love the sunset here. Service was mediocre but food was excellent!
