My family came to California from the east coast and this was the perfect experience for all of us! “Nugget Nick” was so nice and knowledgeable, showed us how to get the most for our money. The whole family had so much fun and found quite a bit of gold. Definitely will be coming back if we’re ever back out this way!
I feel guilty after reading so many amazing reviews; but I didn’t find this to be a fun experience. There were 7 of us; 4 adults; 3 children. We were given 3 shovels to share. For the price paid, each one of us should have had a shovel. We were led to a small area and were told to stay in that one spot. The ground was hard (like a rock) digging is not kid friendly in the area. I gave it a try as well, couldn’t push the shovel 2 inches in the ground and I’m not weak.
