I had tried to rent from Fox, who claimed not to have a record of my pre-paid reservation when I arrived. The Fox employee instead called a "friend" at this company across town, California Car Rental, that promised to match the rate we were given but then charged an extra $200 "deposit" that they said they would refund and never did. There are a lot of people who say they look out for the military, but I've never had a better experience with a rental car company in 7 years of experience. The manager Caesar and assistant Tony are some of the friendliest and open people there are. With them being a third party, they have more flexibility in rates. When the Navy was causing me a lot of issues and stress through my pcs, they came through with affordable government rates and even a discount when I had to return my rental early. I can't even begin to explain how horrible this car company is, and I'm not just writing to complain but to sincerely WARN others. They have not given me my $200 deposit back yet and will not return my phone calls. But that wasn't the only thing they did me dirty on. When I went to return the car, no one was there! I had to get my mom to the airport to catch a plane, and they never mentioned I had to be there by noon! Do not trust this company. They will tell you that you can take the shuttle, across the street at Aladdin Airport Parking, which we assume is free. That is not true. You will have to pay $23 for a ride. Not to mention, the embarrassment of being told that I can't come onto the bus if I haven't parked there. The people Aladdin are very kind and helpful, but California Rental is not to be trusted. They literally lie to there customers. If I could select "0" stars, I would.
