TL;DR: Racist hosts. Was there with my girlfriend on a hot sunny September day. Decided to take the tilted house tour with the old man who cals himself "the sherif". All nice and fun until he asked where we are from and we told him Romania. He than made two racist jokes calling us gypsies. This totally ruined our trip, but hey, maybe that's how the town was in the 1880's.
