Caliber and was recently acquired by NewRez, so perhaps it used to be great. to Our process was a nightmare. They sold our mortgage before we even made the first payment, after they made promises during the process that they service all loans themselves and do not sell them.

Bad customer service and follow-up! I started an application with them, and they never followed through with me, just left me hanging with no response. Apparently, if you don't have a bunch of money, you aren't worth their time. If you don't have any potential for them to make a sale or approve you for a loan, then don't bother. They will just continue to ignore you, and not email you back or answer any questions. We wrote an offer on Christmas Day, Ed was still available to shoot us a quick pre-approval letter. This was my second house and I can tell you from experience, Ed is the epitome of professional. Everything went smoothly! There was one hiccup on my end and Ed handled it quickly and resolved the matter immediately. I will never use anyone but Ed if I buy another home.
As first time home buyers, Ed explained everything from beginning to end. Very thoughtful and response time beyond expectations. Highly recommend!
