I've actually been enjoying Cali Costa for almost the entire 3 years I've lived here in Dana Point, but for some reason haven't left a review. I love the Atmosphere, the Ambience and laid back Chillness of the place; it's very casual and easygoing, the Perfect Place to enjoy a Happy Hour, which we did today after hiking miles n miles to build up our thirst and appetite. Servers were rude, we had to ask for menus, website stated several specials and items that weren't actually available. Each item on the bill was charged $1 over menu price and they tried to charge us for Cadillac margaritas when we just ordered house. Food was just okay.
Tried Cali Costa Restaurant & Cantina and it’s such a great spot. The food was packed with flavor, drinks were on point, and the whole place has a really fun energy. It’s also an awesome place to catch a game—perfect setup to hang out, eat well, and actually enjoy watching sports. Definitely one of those spots you’ll want to come back to.
This is a great place for brunch or gathering with friends anytime. The food is excellent and service was friendly. Weekend brunch had bottomless mimosas! The outdoor dining space is great too.
Went in today for lunch with my son, food and service were good, my issue lies with was I heard and saw in the treatment of the staff from what I assume is the owner and or upper management. Overheard him berating a female staff member. And I want to make it clear it wasn’t in a “getting on to them” situation that was conducive to work, it was extremely unprofessional and just plain inappropriate and abusive.
