I have ordered brisket from here twice and I know for sure I will order again!!! It is always on point! Tender, flavorful and reasonably priced. We have another event coming up soon and I most certainly will be putting in another order.
Got to try them at Bedford July 4th Festival. $17 for a Brisket Mac & Cheese that was terrible. $20 for a Turkey leg that was also equally very disappointing. The mac for starters did not have a good sauce/cheese. Their meats were sub par. Turkey legs was wrapped in seran wrap and tin foil. I get it to keep the moisture in but who wants their food covered in plastic. Work on that Mac and prepare the leg differently. They made a bag but I can't imagine all those disappointed people. Definitely not worth it.
I recently went to Calhoun's to cater my daughters graduation party. I didn't know what to expect since I had never been before. I will admit the prices seemed to be too good to be true so I was skeptical. They definitely surpassed my expectations. Everything came out great and all my guests kept going on about how good it was. Nothing was left over and I am pleased about it. If you get a chance or have an upcoming event try Calhoun's.
I was leaving the JRB in Ft Worth when my son and I smelled Calhoun’s Country Smoke meats and decided to give them a try. No regrets! Trey and his wife were the kindest folk and generous with their portions. I got the 3rib mac n cheese and my son got the brisket mas n cheese, they were heavenly!!! Absolutely finger-licking good!. Learned two important things. 1) Ribs don’t need sauce. 2) Put a stash aside for later before serving. Calhoun’s Country Smoke will be a mainstay on my table for years to come
