My son has been coming to Shirley and Nelson since he was around 1. Absolutely amazing people, they take the time to really get the right fit and make sure it's sitting right. Shawna is also very welcoming at the front desk. My son always has fun coming in! Today was a round of jokes, jumping jacks, push up's, and chair planking!

This experience was especially significant for me because it was the first time in 30 years that I had a prosthetic eye made by someone new. Nelson is absolutely fantastic with special needs. My brother is a 55 year old severely autistic adult. Because he is non-verbal many professionals speak only to me. He treated him as a person speaking directly him. My brother gave him a hug…no problem! Nelson simply hugged him back. Told him what he was doing at each step since he is blind. Nelson is truly wonderful at what he does. His professionalism, dedication, and attention to detail really stand out in the quality of his work. He takes the time to understand what is needed and always goes the extra mile to ensure everything is done properly and to a high standard. What impressed me the most is his positive attitude and willingness to help, which makes working with him a great experience. I had an amazing experience getting my new eye made by Dr Shirley. I have had one eye for 35 years and this was my first time getting a prosthetic the whole process was fast and easy dr Shirley was a pleasure to deal with and everyone else at the office were very kind and made me feel welcome. I finally have 2 eyes after 35 years and I couldn’t be happier thank you Calgary Occular Prosthetics!
