Dr Deepak has so many years of experience (I think almost 40 years) and he has practiced in many different countries. Safe to say i feel very confident in him and his team of doctors. If i were to get surgery or some type of scary procedure done to my eyes I think he would be my first option to go to. One thing I do not like is that everything is by appointment. I visited the Calgary Eye Specialist Clinic with Dr. Khosla four times for a blurred spot in my left eye. At each visit I was asked to do new or repeated tests, but when it came time to see the doctor, the consultation lasted no more than 3 minutes. Despite my ongoing concern about vision loss, I never received a clear explanation or treatment plan. From my experience, the focus seemed to be more on maximizing billing through repeated tests and packing in more appointments, rather than addressing the patient’s actual needs.... read more
The GP at a walk-in clinic referred me here as a precaution for a recurring eye issue. The staff were very friendly and nice, but unfortunately Dr. Khosla was very patronizing and I felt bad about myself just being there. He asked if I had any questions, and I mentioned how my optometrist had recommended similar solutions, and he responded with “ whatever” in a very dismissive and incredibly condescending tone. I visited the Calgary Eye Specialist Clinic after suddenly noticing floaters in my vision while visiting from Toronto. Unfortunately, I didn’t check online reviews beforehand — and I deeply regret that decision. I was charged $300 in total: $200 as an out-of-province consultation fee, $40 for an initial eye scan, and another $60 for additional imaging — which the doctor said he needed after contradicting his own assessment. I read some negative reviews so I was a bit "on guard" before going. I have been twice and go one more time to have a small cyst removed/drained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were not overcrowded and no waiting. Lots of free parking close by. Dr Khosla was professional and friendly and thorough in explaining…even joking with me.
