We have stayed at the home of Capt John on three occasions while Phil Irwin was there. What a super place. Can’t wait to get back. I am the five great grandson of Capt John.

We have stayed at the home of Capt. John (my great, great, great grandfather) on three occasions while Phil Irwin was there. What a super place! To sleep in my ancestor’s bedroom- can anyone beat that! Can’t wait to get back.

Outstanding views and very historic. There is plenty to do in the area, and Phil was just phenomenal. He keeps up-to-date about events going on in the area, and where all the best places to eat are. He is very knowledgeable about the area and so can is able to make suggestions on where to go and what to do if you keep him informed of your plans. He is very keen to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. He also makes the very best breakfast! Now keep in mind that this is not a modern hotel. The beds are comf... read more

This was the first bed and breakfast we stayed at. The old man was hard of hearing. And we was hoping to use the fireplace but didn't get to I gave it three stars. Because the place is so wonderful to look at. And you did have your privacy? I think once the old man turns it over to his kids. This will be one of the wonderful is places and romantic places a couple could go spend a weekend or a week.
