Dan Flayler, Cal Pools’ CEO, has been in the pool and spa industry for over 30 years. He was born and raised in Northern California. After extensive experience working in, and owning, businesses in pool construction, repair, maintenance and supplies in California and Hawaii – arguably the most intense pool markets in the US – he relocated to Stevensville, Maryland in 1999 and started Cal Pools.

I had a strange experience with Chris from Cal Pools last year. When he closed my pool, he took every single plug from my pool room including those I use for my yard irrigation. It was a lot of plugs, including some that were left by the previous owner and some I purchased. When I asked Chris about this, he said that he had provided plugs in a previous close and didn’t charge me, so he thought he could take these.
