Cake walk has a great space and atmosphere for enjoying the cupcakes or any other sweet. I ordered one cupcake. I went there around Halloween, so there were a lot of Halloween style cupcakes. I don't like that kind. So I ended up just getting one regular cupcake. It was delicious but I was not impressed. However, I would recommend this store when visiting the town.
This place has fantastic treats! We have stopped here several times while visiting Northfield and are never disappointed in what we've gotten. It's a cute shop, right on Main Street. There is seating inside for dine in, if you choose. They have cakes/cupcakes/brownies/cookies/coffees/etc...something for everyone. I adore the Salted Caramel cupcake but, often try other varieties. Great cupcakes, bars, and custom cakes. You pay more, but it's not an every day kind of place. I have not had a bad item from here yet! Great variety of flavors as well!
My daughter needed her last few hours of driving before taking her drivers test, so I decided that a trip to Northfield (and Cake Walk specifically) from Rochester was the motivation she needed. It worked! Everything they make is always so beautiful and delicious.... it's hard to make up your mind! We decided to bring a cupcake and cookie to my cousin's boys who are both at St Olaf, and they were thrilled with the surprise treat. Everyday is made better after a stop at Cake Walk!
My Husband and I were beyond happy with our cupcakes and cute small cake that we had made for our wedding. Everything was delicious and looked elegant, just like we wanted! We would definitely recommend Cakewalk to others!
