René was engaging, entertaining, and informative! We had a smaller group, so he drove us around in van, which allowed us to drive on narrower streets that we wouldn’t have been able to access on a bus, which came especially handy in seeing the houses of some of the city’s more famous residents. I was surprised to learn that terms and phrases such as ‘skeleton key,’ ‘skeleton crew,’ and ‘saved by the bell’ have cemetery origins. He even gave us restaurant recommendations!
