Great spot for University students and anyone living near by. Love that you can order online with GrubHub. The menu had something for everyone. They usually have a gumbo daily and a different plate lunch. Great UL decor that's not overdone along with ample seating.
Cajun Commander catered KLFY News 10's Christmas party recently, and we are already looking forward to the next party so that we can use them again!! Excellent, delicious, authentic Cajun food! And a HUGE thank you to the owners for making it all happen with very little notice...they are extremely gracious and professional!!
Stellar decent priced burgers, free chips on the side, and daily special. I have yet to try their daily special but yesterday, their daily special was gumbo. Burgers are juicy, tender, and flavorful. I recommend eating here if you are in the area.
Before I say what went wrong, let me just say that the food is great here, and I'll definitely be back since it's on campus and priced well. However, I was not given the chips I ordered, and I (and 2 other people) were told they were out of their red plate special (Chicken Stew with carrots and potatoes) only to see another person, who walked in after me and did not call ahead (I asked her explicitly if she did), get the special.
Some of the most wonderful Cajun food I have ever eaten. The catering is perfect for any occasion and the people are so sweet. Best Cajun food anywhere.
