Dr. Neil Gordon is my hero! He rectified what other Urologists in Cairns could not. My wife is a doctor herself.. I can only recommend Cairns Urology
Dr Gordon and staff were easy to deal with although it required multiple visits. Only surgery option was TURP with some potential for side effects. Went to Thailand - 1 visit to doctor at hospital and then had minimally invasive Rezum procedure - one month holiday + big improvement after 3 weeks. Surgery $8,500 total.
I moved from the Gold Coast to Cairns 6 months ago and was looking for a new Urologist close by. Found Dr Neil Gordon who provided excellent service. Fast and efficient.Organised every test possible to test my kidney function and removed a stent in my right kidney that got placed there by my previous Urologist. I highly recommend Dr Neil Gordon.
So far so good, Dr Gordan has treated me well, given me what I needed, yes it's not cheap but nothing private is, and it's either pay the fee or wait 2 years for cairns public urology.
I do not recommend it! Charges after charges! Recently I had a kidney stone. Went to first appointment ($240) and Dr. Gordon told me to do exams that I had done with GP before - just in a different lab (2 days before) - worth $600. Then Dr. went on holidays and didn’t have a look at the exams. I passed the stone in the meantime. Then charged $160 to literally drop the stone for analysis and another $160 for the results - I thought costs for analysis were included as no one told anything about it.
