I made a reservation for 6 people for 11:30 AM on a Sunday. Part of our party checked in at 11:30 AM and the rest arrived about 10 minutes later. At 11:45 AM, we were told our table was "being bussed" and we sat down at the table outside the hostess pointed to. There was no silverware on the table and at 12:15 PM, I flagged down a passing server to let her know we still hadn't received silverware, waters or menus. My last visit (many years ago) I found a large dead moth on top of my salad. Server seemed surprised I didn't want it and seemed reluctant to remove the charge. Today, for my daughter's birthday, we were seated at 11:30. No one ever appeared before I inquired at 12:15. Apparently our table was never assigned to a server. Eventually a server showed up to take our food order, but left without taking drink orders. Only a couple of coffees and a water refill ever arrived. Food is always good. Service needs slot of improvement. We got here at 12:50 and it took them over an hour to get us our food. This was after 15 minutes of waiting at our table to get our order. When the food finally arrived (party of 6) my order was forgotten. We then asked for the bill instead of waiting for my food and it took them another 20 minutes to get us our bill. A lot of apologizing but not much action. Do better!

Cafe Zola has delicious food, however, the customer service that I experienced at brunch was the slowest I have ever had at a restaurant. As a party of 2, it took approximately 15 minutes for us to flag a waitress down to ask for water, and in this time it appeared nobody knew we had been seated. They were very understaffed and need to have less tables if they cannot meet the needs of the customers that they have in their restaurant. We spent over 2 hours total in the restaurant, an hour and a half of which was without food.... read more
