The food was good, the waitress was not very friendly and the service was extremely slow. I will not be back due to the fee they charged for using a credit card, I believe it was a hidden fee called a convenience fee...just bad business to nickel and dime everyone..
The food was always good with the old owners but since they sold a year ago prices have risen and quality has gone down and now they have the audacity to add a three percent convenience fee on to every tab. For what? Slow service and expensive wine. Never going back
I had a very nice quiet family dinner here on our last night in Portsmouth. I'm used to being disappointed by Italian restaurants, and Cafe Mediterraneo was pleasantly surprising. Service was friendly but otherwise average. The Caesar salad was weak, and I wouldn't order that again. The house salad was better, although nothing special.
